Chapter Services Specialist – Springfield

Care to Learn is seeking a high-achieving Chapter Services Specialist- Springfield to work with the Springfield Public School District. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, problem solving, self-starter who likes to fundraise and manage multiple opportunities and challenges simultaneously. This position will work closely with Springfield Public Schools and donors to ensure the mission of Care to Learn is maximized and students can be set up for success. The successful candidate will be in charge of the day-to-day activities and operations for the Care to Learn – Springfield Chapter. This includes ensuring student needs are met effectively and efficiently, leading fund-raising and special events and utilizing Care to Learn policies and procedures. This position will report to the Executive Director of Care to Learn.

Responsibilities:

  • - Serve as a liaison between the Care to Learn state office and Springfield Public Schools (SPS)
  • - Lead fundraising and donor development for the Chapter, locate and apply for community grants and manage special events
  • - Cultivate and sustain relationships with school district personnel, donors, other service providers, faith-based institutions, educational institutions and the Advisory Council
  • - Lead all Advisory Council and fundraising meetings of the Chapter; work closely with SPS to assure compliance with Care to Learn’s policies and procedures
  • - Be in charge of all Care to Learn – Springfield’s operational practices in relation to SPS, making sure that each school within the district has the support and resources they need to meet their students’ needs
  • - Evaluate, quantify and make recommendations to the Executive Director of Care to Learn in order to increase the quality and quantity of services in a sustainable manner
  • - Raise awareness of Care to Learn and its work through appropriate public relations and marketing applications, including social media and appropriate networking
  • - Perform risk analysis and balance time-cost ratios to focus effort on the most appropriate activities with the highest chance of success
  • - Ensure that all activities are executed with adherence to best educational practices and nonprofit legal compliance with a mind toward Care to Learn’s goal of Best in Class
  • - Initiate and apply innovative approaches and techniques that support Care to Learn as the leader in the industry

Requirements:

  • - Proven project management experience
  • - Lead special event fundraising and donor relations for the Springfield Chapter
  • - Ability to fundraise and maintain donor relations
  • - Experience in education with development and strategy implementation knowledge
  • - Strong leadership and decision-making skills
  • - Excellent interpersonal and customer relations skills
  • - Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, Excel required)
  • - Proven ability to work self-directed
  • - Minimum Bachelor’s Degree, with preference for Education, Business or Non Profit Management Degree

This position is full-time and is paid hourly. The schedule will typically be 8:00 to 5:00 Monday through Friday, with occasional nights and weekends. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.

The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, problem solving, self-starter who likes to help fund raise and manage multiple opportunities and challenges simultaneously. This position will work closely with Chapters in Southwest Missouri to ensure the mission of Care to Learn is maximized and students can be set up for success. The successful candidate will be in charge of ongoing communication, interaction and operations for the Chapters of Care to Learn in Southwest Missouri. This includes ensuring Chapters meet student needs effectively and efficiently, coaching Chapters on fund-raising and special events and utilizing Care to Learn policies and procedures. This position will report to the Executive Director of Care to Learn.

Responsibilities:
