Care to Learn is partnering with Mother’s Brewing and Mattax Neu Prater Eye Center to “Eclipse Poverty.” Care to Learn and Mother’s Brewing are hosting an event to safely watch the solar eclipse and work together to fight poverty. Proceeds from the solar eclipse viewing event will benefit Care to Learn to help meet the emergent health, hunger and hygiene needs of students.

The event will be on Mother’s Brewing Company lawn at 215 S. Grant Ave. from 11 a.m-7 pm. The cost is $10 at the gate and includes certified eclipse glasses and one special edition solar eclipse brew. Food will be available to purchase from Simply Delicious. There will be entertainment by Shaun Munday and Brandon Moore.

Peak viewing times in Springfield will be between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., with the peak being 1:13 pm.
